GCSE Texts That Motivate & Enable Students To Achieve

The Idea Guide To GCSE Mathematics

An unusual approach to GCSE Foundation Mathematics – that works !!

Students in our lower sets said, "We don't want a course that only does the easy stuff (a 'dumbo' course). We want to do the same work as everyone else. So, will you please:
• make the instructions and explanations clearer,
• introduce ideas more slowly and put in extra steps,
• put in extra practice,
• make the work interesting."
SO WE DID !

But, we then found that this approach also worked well with students in the middle sets. Students can choose which of the problems to tackle in the ON YOUR OWN material. Motivation soars and so do exam grades.

The Spoton Guide To GCSE Mathematics

This GCSE HIGHER Course encourages able students to tackle interesting, and often unusual, extension problems which are related to the topic, and thus motivate them to aim for the highest grades. However, it is also accessible to those Higher Tier students who are not high flyers, and encourages them to aim as high as they can.
