Her EXTRA texts, for low attainers, have transformed the mathematics of the students working with them. They make mainstream maths accessible to low attainers – and develop self confidence and self-esteem. These texts have worked so well that she was invited by The Numeracy Strategy to write the catch-up course for Y7 (Springboard 7)
Students at her school are so motivated by their mathematics, that three quarters of A-Level students take A-Level Mathematics. Tarporley High School has been top of the A-Level league tables twice in the last six years.
